The Health Checkup Center offers cardiovascular checkup at one’s own expense, specializing in the prevention of cardiovascular diseases. The examination at the center is performed by a number of specialists from Sakakibara Heart Institute, using the latest high-precision equipment. Data from the checkup can be shared between Sakakibara Heart Institute Clinic and Sakakibara Heart Institute.

Medical interpretation fee will be charged separately.
*1 For the Holter electrocardiogram (shower and bath not allowed) and sleep apnea test, you will need to come to the center the next day to return the testing equipment, which will take 2 days. (Equipment can also be returned by mail.)
*2: Thoracic and abdominal CT, MRI-MRA, and coronary angiography CT are performed at Sakakibara Heart Institute.

Notes.

  1. A reservation through an intermediary company (medical interpreter) is required. Medical interpreter fees will be charged separately.
  2. Additional or deletion of examination items from Course A to Course D is possible, so please contact us at the time of application.
  3. If you have high blood pressure, heart disease, or any other medical condition, please inform us at the time of application.
  4. If you are taking medicines, please take it before coming to the center. However, please bring your diabetes medicines without taking it.
  5. Patients with allergy to iodine, contrast media, renal dysfunction, bronchial asthma, etc. cannot undergo coronary angiography CT examination.
  6. Please be on time for your appointment. If you miss your appointment, you may not take medical checkup.
  7. Please come to the hospital with an empty stomach on the day of the examination (no food after 10:00 p.m. the day before). Lunch is at your own expense.
    *For patients undergoing coronary angiography CT scan, no food is allowed until all the examinations are completed.

Change/Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made 14 to 8 days before the scheduled test will incur a charge of 30% of the total fee.
Cancellations made 7 days to the day before the scheduled test will incur a charge of 50% of the total fee.
Same-day cancellations will incur a charge of 100% of the total fee.

Rescheduling can be done only once by 3 days before the scheduled test (including the scheduled test day).
After that, any cancellations or changes will incur the full cost of the fee.

Contents of Health Checkup Plan

  1. Japanese translation of the medical questionnaire in English/Chinese
  2. Medical interpreter on the day of checkup
  3. Report of the results of the medical checkup in Chinese
    *If treatment is required after the checkup, you will be required to return to your country and reschedule an appointment.
